Harold E. Sims Jr. is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a product of the Baltimore City, Maryland and Essex County, Virginia public school systems.  He currently has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in both Criminal Justice Administration and Management from Kaplan University.  He is currently attending Payne Theological Seminary, pursuing a Masters of Divinity Degree.

Bro. Sims is married to Jackelyann Sims, and they reside in Northern Virginia with their five children. At a young age, Bro. Sims accepted Christ into his life, and was subsequently baptized at United Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland.

In January of 2011, Bro. Sims accepted the call into ministry to preach the Gospel. He received his License to Preach in 2013, at a Quarterly Conference of the First AME Church in Manassas presided by Presiding Elder Goodwin Douglass.  In April of 2015, Minister Sims was admitted to the Washington Annual Conference.  Minister Sims is currently matriculating through the Board of Examiners seeking ordination as an Itinerant.

Minister Sims believes that he was called not to be served, but to serve Gods people. He loves the Word of God, and he loves Gods people.
